There are multiple ways to ask YouTube to remove Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) content.
Report content for violating Community Guidelines
YouTube’s Community Guidelines prohibit sharing non-consensual intimate imagery. To report content for violating our Community Guidelines, follow the instructions here.
Request removal via Privacy reporting
To file a privacy complaint, start the privacy complaint process. Your privacy is always respected during the process.
Request removal based on the US TAKE IT DOWN Act
In addition to YouTube’s Community Guidelines and the privacy reporting process, users in the United States may request a review under the TAKE IT DOWN Act using this form. Since this is a formal legal request, you may be asked to provide additional information to ensure regulatory compliance.
What you will need for your request
- The exact URLs or links to the content you want removed
- Your relationship to the rights holder: let us know if you are the person depicted or if you are representing someone else
- A fully completed submission form
What to expect after you reach out
We evaluate all requests against our policies concerning content removal and the requirements of the TAKE IT DOWN Act. After you submit, we will review the information and take appropriate action.
Please note that the legal removal requests may be subject to automated processing.
